The Thousand-Year Door description | A key that operates an elevator in the X-Naut base. (GCN) A card key that operates an elevator in the X-Naut Fortress. (Switch) |
The Elevator Keys are two key cards in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are both found in the X-Naut Fortress. In the remake, they are distinguished as Elevator Key (Blue) and Elevator Key (Red). The first key is obtained by solving a puzzle where Mario must only step on the platforms that light up to get to the other side and to collect the key. This key is used to access the elevator, and the player can now go to sublevel 1 and 2. The second Elevator Key is guarded by a robotic Thwomp. Mario gets it after completing the 66th Trivia Quiz-Off. It allows access to sublevels 3 and 4.
