The Thousand-Year Door description The thing Bub asked you to deliver to Sylvia.

The Present is a special item appearing in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. After taking on Bub's trouble at the Trouble Center, Mario discovers that Bub had gotten into a fight with his mother, and Bub wants to give his mother a present to make up.

The present contains either a Mushroom Cake, a Keel Mango or a Fright Mask (based upon Mario's decision), along with an apology letter from Bub. Bub then has Mario deliver the present to Sylvia as he is afraid to do so himself. When Mario hands the present to Sylvia, she notices the letter and reads it. Upon reading the letter, Sylvia walks off-screen to open the present and is moved to tears. She then asks Mario (calling him "Gonzales") to go tell Bub she is not angry with him. For delivering the present, Bub rewards Mario with his entire life savings: three Coins.

Letter

"Dear lovely Mama... I'm sorry I didn't do my homework. From now on, I'll do my homework and try to be a good Bob-omb like Papa. And I will give you a good food and a nice house... ...and a pretty hat. So please don't hate me. From Bub."
