Oysters,[1][2] also referred to as clams,[3][4][5] are large sinister-looking enemies in Donkey Kong 64. A total of five appears, all at Gloomy Galleon, inside a locked chest that can be entered only by Tiny Kong entering the keyhole in her Mini-Monkey form. The oysters open and close their mouths repeatedly, and each of them has a pearl in its mouth. Oysters are stationary and indestructible, and they damage Tiny if they close while she is inside them. Retrieving the oysters' pearls is necessary to receive a Golden Banana from the Mermaid.
