Purple Coins on the Summit is the fifth mission of the Freezeflame Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. Until the mission's completion, this mission can only be accessed if a Purple Comet is in orbit.

Layout[edit]

The player starts on the slope of Freezy Peak. A hundred Purple Coins are placed throughout the planet. Unlike many other Purple Coin missions, there is no time limit. Using Ice Flowers and similar progression methods used in the first mission, while also taking the secret path used in the sixth mission, which requires the use of the Fire Flower, the player should be able to find all the Purple Coins. When the player is on top of the mountain, the Toad Brigade Captain will tell them to make a Long Jump to get the last two coins. Once they are all collected, the Power Star will appear near the start of the mission.
