<< Directory of levels >> |
Welcome to the Flower Kingdom! is the first course of Pipe-Rock Plateau, and subsequently, the first course of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is unlocked from the beginning of the game, and its completion unlocks Piranha Plants on Parade. It has a difficulty of one star and houses two Wonder Seeds.
Layout
The level takes place in a grassy field with trees, sleeping Goombas and pipes, some of which sprout water. The player starts in front of a large Wonder Flower-shaped bush. Touching an interactive tulip will summon Brick Blocks that lead on top of a tree with coins and flower coins. A ? Block afterwards contains an Elephant Fruit, introducing the player to the power-up for the first time. The Elephant form can use its trunk to destroy Brick Blocks, as well as fill its trunk with water using the nearby fountains. After going down a slope, the player will reach a Checkpoint Flag, where they can go inside a sideways pipe immediately after to find an interactive tulip inside.
After several more straightaways with trees is the Goal Pole, of which the top can be reached by passing an interactive tulip to raise some pipes. After grabbing the Goal Pole, the second Wonder Seed is obtained.
Wonder Flower
After touching an interactive tulip, several pipes will suddenly spawn from the ground, lifting the player into the air, and a Wonder Flower will appear. Touching it will trigger the level's Wonder Effect, where all of the pipes will gain eyes and start moving up and down. A sideways pipe later on will also grow eyes when stepped on and will start squirming along the ground like a worm, becoming an Inchworm Pipe and allowing the player to reach higher places when its body is folded. The Inchworm Pipe will eventually slither down a pit and its "head" will pop out in the foreground, which can be reached by entering the other end left in the main plane. A Wonder Seed can be found on top of a fountain, ending the Wonder Effect.
10-flower coins
- 10-flower coin 1: It is found underneath the ? Block with the first Elephant Fruit. The player should use the Elephant form's trunk to break the Brick Blocks enclosing it.
- 10-flower coin 2: It is found on top of a tree before an incline. It can be reached by jumping on top of it.
- 10-flower coin 3: During the Wonder Effect, the player should jump off the squirming sideways pipe when it's at its highest to reach the 10-flower coin which is otherwise too high to reach.

Talking Flower quotes
- "Onward and upward!" (at the start of the level)
- "Maybe it's time for a break. I'm not one to rush." (when the player stays idle)
- "What's the matter? You tired or something?" (when the player continues staying idle)
- "*yawn* I'm tired... How 'bout you?"
- "What a beautiful day." (after the first flower coin)
- "Love a good breeze."
- "That Goomba looks so serene." (next to a Goomba after the first Elephant Fruit)
- "Well then." (if the player wakes up said Goomba)
- "Mmm, refreshing!" (dipped in a pool of water)
- "Ahaha!" (flying in the air next to a hidden block with a flower propeller)
- "Oh!" (after the hidden block is hit)
- "Would ya look at that!"
- "Coiiiiins!" (when the cloud blocks from an above platform turn into coins)
- "Heyyyy!" (after the Checkpoint Flag to the left of a sideways pipe)
- "Hiiii!" (on the other side of that sideways pipe)
- "Whoa..."
- "Whoa!" (after the Wonder Flower appears)
- "Whoa-whoa!" (said in a panicked tone after Mario grabs the Wonder Flower)
- "Whoawa-whoa!"
- "What's that?" (right before the Wonder Seed)
- "Hey, you! What WAS that?" (after grabbing the Wonder Seed)
- "Didn't you see something back there?"
- "Are you just gonna leave?" (if the Wonder Flower is avoided)
- "Hey, you! What WAS that?" (after grabbing the Wonder Seed)
- "Bye-bye!" (on the pipes leading to the Goal Pole)
- "So long!" (if the Wonder Flower is avoided)
