First appearance | Mario Party: Island Tour (2013) |
A Challenge Area is a space in Mario Party: Island Tour where players must stop moving to face a challenge, functioning similarly to a Dead-End Space at the end of the board. They appear only in the Perilous Palace Path and Bowser's Peculiar Peak boards. In Perilous Palace Path, players need to hit a switch out of three switches in order to lower a bridge to bypass a Thwomp. The switches come in 3 colors, pink, blue and green. In Bowser's Peculiar Peak, players need to pick the fuse that does not lead to the wall breaking on the path to Bowser. There are 2 fuses, one red, and one blue.
