This is a list of profiles and statistics for Poochy.
Yoshi franchise
Tetris Attack
- In-game character profile
I am Poochy- Woof, woof!
You didn't know I like monkeys? Well see, I'm friends with everybody. Woof! Especially that Yoshi. He gives me eggs! Woof, woof, WOOF!
- Japanese language selected
ワンワンワン ポチだワン
おさるさんとは けねんのなかと おもわれてるかも しれないけど ほんとは
すごく なかよしなんだワン
ヨッシーも タマゴをくれるいいやつだワン けど⋯
(Woof, woof, woof. It's Poochy, woof.)
(Ukkiki might think he's just a kid, but really he is a very good friend, woof. Yoshi is also a nice guy who gives me eggs, woof. But...)
Yoshi's Story
- Shogakukan guide: そこ掘れワンワン。お宝をさがすのは、名犬におまかせ。[1] (Dig there, bark bark. Leave it to a great dog to find the treasure.)
Yoshi's New Island
- Play Nintendo: Dogs usually like to play outside in the rain, but then you’re stuck with that gross wet-dog smell all day. At least you can still take Poochy for a nice walk! Actually, it’s Poochy who takes Yoshi for a walk—er, a ride—through two levels of the Yoshi’s New Island game. This loyal pup has shown up in a few Nintendo games, where he mostly follows Yoshi around and sniffs out helpful items like keys and food. Check out Level 3-5 Don’t Fear the Spear and Level 4-S See Poochy Run! if you want to see Poochy in action.[2]
- Shogakukan guide: 触れてもダメージを受けないので、足場や乗り物として気軽に利用できる。上に乗るとヨッシーが向いている方向に走り、段差があると真上へ大きくジャンプする。[3](It does not take damage when touched, so it can easily be used as a scaffold or vehicle. When Yoshi rides on top, it runs in the direction he is facing, and if there is a step, it makes a big jump straight up.)
Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World
- Play Nintendo:
- Name: Poochy
- Occupation: Yoshi’s cuddly companion
- Special Skills: Unearthing hidden shortcuts, walking across dangerous terrain
- This plush pup is always ready to lend a paw when his pal Yoshi needs a little help. Poochy can carry Yoshi over dangerous obstacles, like spikes and lava (ouch!). He’s pretty good at jumping to collect beads, too. You can even play as Poochy in Poochy Dash, racing through side-scrolling stages on a mad dash for beads!
- You can tap the Yarn Poochy amiibo figure to get Poochy’s help in the regular game or tap it during Poochy Dash to unlock extra challenges that award Poochy designs.[4]
Yoshi's Crafted World
- North American website bio: Yoshi’s cuddly companion Poochy will run in whichever direction Yoshi faces. The pint-sized Poochy Pups return for this new adventure, too!
