Chippy[1] is an enemy in the game Virtual Boy Wario Land. They are only seen in Stage 5, within the leafy forest areas. Many Chippies are found running along the ground. If they catch sight of Wario, they will throw spiky balls which explode shortly after hitting the ground. Some Chippies hide in trees not far from the ground. If Wario approaches, they will jump out and float to the ground upon a large leaf, holding a shield covered in spikes. After landing, the Chippy will attempt to ram Wario with the shield. It can also hold it up to deflect all of Wario's attacks from above. Chippies can also throw spears, damaging Wario if they hit him. All types of Chippies can be knocked out by a stomp to the head, where they will flip upside down and recover after a few seconds. They can be defeated by a Body Slam or a Barge, without touching a Chippy's weapons. They can also be destroyed by the flames of Sea Dragon or King Dragon Wario, regardless of the area.
