The Soul Seed is an item in Paper Mario: The Origami King. It begins as a Shriveled Seed, which Mario finds in a section of a tree in Whispering Woods that can be opened by use of the 1,000-Fold Arms. Mario must throw the Shriveled Seed into a spring in Whispering Woods to revitalize it into a Soul Seed. He must then give the Soul Seed to Ol' Grandsappy, making him regain his energy and grow into a tall tree again.
