It has been requested that this article be rewritten. Reason: Lots of fluff needing trimmed
Template:Quote2 Snifits are dark-robed Spookums that serve Booster as minions and playpals in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The three main Snifits are aptly named Snifit 1 (or No.1), Snifit 2 (or No.2) and Snifit 3. They first meet Mario after returning Dyna & Mite to their home in Moleville, where they are hunting beetles for Booster. While hunting these beetles, the Snifits accidentally reveal to Mario that a "princess from the sky" is being imprisoned in Booster Tower.
Later, in Booster Tower, Mario, Mallow, Geno, and Bowser can battle the three Snifits. At first, each of them can be encountered individually. After entering Booster's playroom, Mario needs to try and hide from the Snifits behind curtains as they search for Booster's lost Mario doll. If Mario is found behind these curtains too many times by a Snifit, he is forced to battle Booster and the Snifit trio. If he remains hidden, Booster joins in and finds his Mario doll; because it is too high for him, he is convinced by Snifit 2 to guilt Mario into knocking it down, and Booster rewards him with an Amulet.
On Booster Hill, the three Snifits try to ram Mario as he races up the hillside after Booster and Princess Toadstool. Mario could jump on one of the heads of a charging Snifit or a rolling barrel to get a boost and reach Toadstool, who rewards him with a Flower each time, and Mario is then knocked back by Booster.
Finally, in Marrymore, after Booster barges into the wedding hall (interrupting the wedding of Raz and Raini), the three Snifits act as guards, making sure no one interrupts Booster's forced wedding to Princess Toadstool. After breaking into the wedding hall, the Snifits, after learning that Princess Toadstool has lost her accessories, begin to search for them and relies on Mario to bring the accessories they had found to Princess Toadstool.
At the end of the battle against Raspberry, the Snifits and Booster appear; it was the Snifits who inadvertently destroy Raspberry, after they convince Booster to devour the cake whole.
An unnamed Snifit that appears to be unaffiliated with Booster can later be seen in Seaside Town, acting as the manager of “Beetles Are Us”. Some Spookums, known as Apprentices, train on a hidden obstacle course at Booster Pass, which can be unveiled by jumping on a green switch in Booster Tower. Apprentices can be promoted to Snifit 4, Snifit 5, Snifit 6, and Snifit 7 if Mario and his team are defeated by them (which does not lead to a typical Game Over). The fifth Apprentice will not be promoted due to Booster only wanting seven Snifits. However, eight Snifits make a small cameo in the ending, with the audience of Booster's wedding to Valentina being composed of them, but it is unknown if the eighth Snifit is Snifit 8 or the shop manager.
Snifits are among the few enemies that can be permanently removed from the map; Booster's Snifits can no longer be challenged after Booster Tower is cleared, Spookums disappear forever if they are defeated, and there are no more Apprentices at Booster Pass after the eighth one.
Although they were loyal to Booster, they apparently were not too fond of the jobs he has them do, which can be inferred by their Psychopath quote.
