Gary is an ordinary Goomba and a member of Bowser's army, the Koopa Troop. In Super Paper Mario, Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to Princess Peach and later, to Count Bleck's castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an unnamed Goomba, Gary eventually finds Luigi laying unconscious.
