Template:Species-infobox A Gotchawrench[1][2], or Gotcha Wrench[3], is a living metal wrench. It has huge teeth to attack, and dinosaur legs to help it climb around.
History
VS. Wrecking Crew
Gotchawrenches first appeared in the VS. Wrecking Crew arcade game for the VS. System, where they were among the only major enemy obstacles. They appear much as they do in the subsequent console game. Red ones move slowly while purple ones are quick.
Starting in Phase 11, red ones are replaced by unnamed hatchet enemies that behave the same. This enemy is entirely exclusive to VS. Wrecking Crew, as it is not present in any later-released Wrecking Crew titles.
Wrecking Crew
Gotchawrenches appear on the first stage of the game Wrecking Crew. A Gotchawrench climbs around the construction site chasing Mario. They come in two colors, purple (Gotchawrench) and red (Gotchawrench Jr., which moves more slowly).
Wrecking Crew '98
Gotchawrench is the third challenger in Wrecking Crew '98. Gotchawrench is purple and looks the same as he does in the original. He also appears in the port of the original game, which is on the same cartridge.
