:It's highly unlikely that DK will be just an opponent character, considering he has no other traits that make him stand out from the other playable characters, or from the boss character. He's the same size, has a character face icon, has a racket, and has been playable in almost all previous ''Mario Tennis'' games. And unlike the boss fight, while playing against him in the video, it looked like a normal tennis match instead of some boss fight. DK not confirmed
