Template:Level Clifftop Critters is the twenty-sixth level in the semi-sequel to Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, Donkey Kong Land III. It is also the second area of Tin Can Valley.

This level involves the Kongs making their way down the mountains by dropping down off of numerous tightropes. However, Klasps are on many of these ropes, and the heroes must be careful as they progress through this dangerous level. Other enemies besides the Klasps are around the area, too. These enemies include Buzzes, Sneeks, Krumples, Kobbles, Bristles, Re-Koils, and Knockas. Each one of them contribute to the difficulty of the level, as they are found several times in it. Although one of the last levels of the game, Clifftop Critters is about the same length as a normal level in Donkey Kong Land III."What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? From the start of the level, the Kongs must journey to the west and make their way past a Knocka to a rope leading downwards. Climbing down this rope, without hitting any Buzzes, will take them to a lower area of the mountain, where they must climb a little farther down on a rope. From there, Kiddy and Dixie must head east and defeat some Re-Koils to find another rope. It will take them down to a few more ropes. Unless they want the DK Coin, the heroes should continue down the ropes and travel west again. After avoiding enemies, the monkeys will encounter another rope to climb down. They will end up on a lone, sideways rope from there. They must drop down from this rope and fall through a few more to land reach an even lower level of the mountain they are on. There, they must walk to the east and make it up a steep path to find the level's Star Barrel.

Halfway through the level, the heroes will need to journey down some nearby ropes. As they get down, they should beware of Klasps grabbing along the lines. At the next area, they must travel west and fall down more ropes, still dodging some Klasps. Soon, the Kongs will find themselves near a barrel. They should jump into it and shoot around the mountain in a U shape. After that, they will eventually come across a gap to jump into. Falling through it will take them to another sideways rope. Kiddy and Dixie must travel to the left on this and fall farther down the mountain. When they end up in the next area, they will need to follow some more ropes downward head east, where they must move along a rope to get over two Buzzes. After passing another pair of Buzzes, the group should jump down a few platforms and grab onto a rope below them. There will be a lot of open space around them at this point, although there will be Klasps crawling along the ropes nearby. The heroes will have to drop down several ropes in the area and make it down another abyss to the west. If they continue west from here, they will find the flagpole. Touching it will end the level.

Secrets

Bonus Levels

  • After the Kongs climb down the level's second rope, they should head to the left and defeat a few enemies. Once they climb down another rope, they will reach a Bonus Barrel. It will shoot them to a Bonus Level where the heroes must hop into some Rotatable Barrels and shoot in a diamond shape to collect stars. Once all the stars are obtained, the monkeys must shoot to the center of the area to grab their Bonus Coin.
  • Before reaching the bottom area of the level, the group must jump to two short ropes and cross a gap to find the letter G. From there, they should climb up the slope to the left and jump up to land in a Bonus Barrel, leading to the Bonus Level. Here, the Kongs must jump up a few platforms and begin to climb up a long rope. As they climb, they will have to avoid several Kopters gliding down the area. Soon, they will reach the Bonus Coin.

DK Coin

  • After the monkeys climb down the level's third rope, they should travel to the left to find a tin barrel. They should pick it up and walk a little farther to find the Koin with the DK Coin. The heroes must jump on top of the foe and throw the barrel into a nearby wall. It will bounce back and hit the Koin. When this foe is defeated, the monkeys will be awarded with his DK Coin.
