Unlike Croctopi, who simply follow a set path, Nemos actually chase Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong throughout the level. When they are first encountered, they appear to be sleeping, but will soon emerge from their shells as the monkeys pass by. The Nemo will then follow behind them at a fast pace through the coral-filled level. If they are not fast enough, the enemy will attack the Kongs. These foes can be hard to avoid sometimes, as they can not be defeated and do move quite fast, even in tight spaces.
