Simian Spring is Diddy Kong's special pad ability in the game Donkey Kong 64. Diddy learns this ability when he buys a potion from Cranky Kong at his lab in Frantic Factory. When Diddy stands on a pad with his face on it, the player can press the 
button to make him perform a high jump by springing off of the ground with his tail, which allows him to access areas that are difficult to reach.
