A Heave Ho in Super Mario 64, about to fling Mario into the air.

Heave Hos are red robotic mechanical enemies in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS that can help Mario by flinging him upwards depending on the direction they are facing to help him reach highers areas in the areas Tick Tock Clock and Wet-Dry World. They sometimes are not helpful, due to them sometimes injuring Mario if they face incorrectly by making fall a great length down and can lead him into losing health or throwing him into a lower level.

They ride on three wheels total and have a dustpan-like feature in the front of them with footprints on it. On the Heave Hos' sides are emblems of Bowser giving a thumbs up, which is over the word "KOOPA" written around in fire. After moving around their area they lose power, and they have to wind up the gear in their backs, much like a toy.

In Super Mario 64 DS, Heave Hos suffered slight changes, having eyes inside visors instead of a face. Besides appearing in the aforementioned worlds, they also appear in the Battle Fort stage.
