They do not attack Donkey Kong at all; instead, they flee from him. If Donkey Kong uses the sound wave attack, a bulge will form on their epidermis. They can then be defeated by either using the attack three more times or charging into them, like Puchigaerus. They will provide two bananas when defeated.
Puchimēras are found in underwater levels throughout the game.
