Template:Infobox Mario Party 9 is an upcoming game for the Wii.[1] It is the fifteenth installment of the Mario Party series, the eleventh in the main series, and the second for the Wii, the first being Mario Party 8. It seems to be based heavily upon New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Gameplay
An old form of gameplay used from Mario Party Advance will be introduced in this game: players will move all at once in a car[2]. Instead of trying to collect coins to buy stars, players receive unnamed stars if they pass by them. It is unconfirmed whether this will be a new mode or not, however, it is shown that the traditional, individual movement of characters will also be in the game. New minigames will be introduced in the Mario Party series, as well as 2 vs. 1 minigames against Bowser Jr.[2]
