Artwork of a Venus Guytrap from Wario Land: Shake It!
A hungry Venus Guytrap.

A Venus Guytrap is a plant in Wario Land: Shake It! which closes around Wario after a set time. Yellow-and-red Guytraps take longer than red-and-pink ones to close. Wario needs to shake to get out. If Wario jumps on a Guytrap and then immediately jumps again, he can be on top of it, allowing him to reach high places.

Trivia

  • Their name is a variation of the plant Venus Flytrap, much like the Venus Fire Trap of Mario's adventures.
  • One of the treasure chests that Wario finds contains a Venus Guytrap seed.
  • They're similar to the Piranha Plant from Mario games because they are both man-eating plants.
  • Their attack pattern is similar to the Bee Traps of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
