A Heave Ho in Super Mario 64.

Heave Hos are mechanical enemies in Super Mario 64 that can be either helpful, or a pain.

Heave Hos are red enemies with the face of an Amp. They travel around on three wheels, with a tool in front that resembles a dustpan. If Mario happens to step on the dustpan, he will be thrown up in the direction the Heave Ho's back is facing. This is a good way to get a boost to high areas, but landing too low can drain life power.

On the Heave Hos' sides are emblems of Bowser giving a thumbs up, which is over the word "KOOPA" written around in fire. After moving around their area they lose power, and they have to wind up the gear in their backs, much like a toy. They appear in Wet-Dry World and Tick Tock Clock.

In Super Mario 64 DS, Heave Hos suffered slight changes, having eyes inside visors instead of a face. Besides appearing in the aforementioned worlds, they also appear in the Battle Fort stage.
