Template:Level Rocketeer Rally is the thirteenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. Located in the east of Blackforest Plateau, it is the first level in this area, as well as the first waterfall level.
To complete this level, Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong must climb up a very large and tall cascade. Since most ledges are too high for them to reach, they will need many Booster Barrels to progress through the level. A few Tracker Barrels can be found here as well, helping the heroes cross large abysses. The Kongs will often have to choose between multiple paths, and finding both Bonus Barrels will probably require a long exploration. A single Krumple appears in this level, alongside Kobbles, Sneeks, Buzzes, Bristles and Knik-Knaks.
Noticeably, Rocketeer Rally is Donkey Kong Land III's equivalent of Rocket Barrel Ride from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
Level Layout
The level will begin with a strait path leading to a Booster Barrel. Riding upwards into the barrel, they will land on a small set of long platforms. At the end of this platform, they will find another Booster Barrel. It will carry them farther up the falls, where they will need to get in a third Booster Barrel. This barrel will blast them into the air in a higher area. While airborne, the monkeys should make their way into the next Booster Barrel to the left. Once the barrel blast them to a higher platform, they will need to head over the area, avoiding a few enemies. Upon entering a nearby Booster Barrel, they will be carried to a platform with another Booster Barrel. This Booster Barrel will take them to a higher area of the falls. There, they will find yet another Booster Barrel, which will take them to an area where they will need to hop over a gap filled with two Buzzes. After this gap, they will see the next Booster Barrel. It will guide them to the letter O. Near the letter O will be another Booster Barrel. It will take the monkeys to a higher area, where they will have to head west to find another Booster Barrel. This barrel will guide them to a small platform with the Star Barrel.
About halfway through the level, the Kongs will discover a Tracker Barrel to the right. This barrel will help them cross a large abyss and get into the nearest Booster Barrel. This barrel will fly them to a large platform will another Booster Barrel, found right above the monkeys. The barrel will pull them upwards to the next Booster Barrel. While airborne, they should try to land in the other barrel, and then blast to a third Booster Barrel in that area. The barrel will take them to yet another Booster Barrel. This barrel, the final barrel in the chain of Booster Barrels, will blast the apes back on a solid and large pathway. Only a few steps on this pathway will take Dixie and Kiddy to the next Booster Barrel. Jumping into it, they will be shot to a higher area again, where they should follow an arrow, telling them to travel to the east. They will find the next Booster Barrel in that direction, and it will fire them into the air near another Booster Barrel. The heroes will need to jump into that barrel to blast a little bit higher, landing on a small platform with yet another Booster Barrel. This barrel will guide them onto a small platform with a Kobble and a flagpole. Touching the flagpole will end the level.
Secrets
Bonus Levels
- Near the beginning of the level, the heroes will blast through a Booster Barrel that will pull them up to a high area. To the right of this area, the Kongs should see a small platform nearby. Jumping there, they will find the letter K. After heading more eastward and crossing a large gap, the apes will find a Bonus Barrel. It will fire them into a Bonus Level, where they will need to ride up the falls with several Tracker Barrel, collecting a few stars. Once they get all the stars, a Bonus Coin will appear at the top of the area on a small platform.
- Near the end of the level, the monkeys will find an arrow pointing to go east. They should follow it and ride up a Booster Barrel, then go left. If they continue to travel west, without riding on any other Booster Barrels, they will see a trail of bananas at the end of the path leading to an airborne Booster Barrel. Jumping into the barrel, they will be lead into a Bonus Barrel, and then into a Bonus Level. There, they will need to make their way to the top of a waterfall by using Booster Barrels. On the way, they will collect some stars. If all the stars are collected, a Bonus Coin will appear on a platform at the top of the stage.
DK Coin
- When the Kongs find the flagpole, they should move backwards and jump to a platform to the left. They will find a Koin, with the DK Coin, near to a steel barrel. They will need to beat the Koin to get his DK Coin, though the enemy's shield will protect him from all possible attacks. So, the heroes will have to use the nearby barrel, found on the neighboring platform, and stand on the Kremling. Once on the enemy, they will need to throw the barrel against the edge of the screen. The barrel will bounce back, hitting the distracted Koin on the side. This will defeat him, thus giving the monkeys his DK Coin.
