Chairs are hazardous objects found in Big Boo's Haunt in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. They are wooden chairs, animated through unknown means. There are only two total in the games, and they can be found in only one room: the second door on the left, when Mario, Luigi, or Wario enters the mansion from the front. When the player character enters the room and approaches one of them, the chair rises into the air, rapidly rotates, comes to a stop, and then hurls itself at him. The chair continues flying in its projected direction until it hits the floor or a wall, at which point it disappears. If it collides with the player character, he will lose two wedges of his Power Meter. Unlike with biting Bookends, jumping into chairs does not destroy them and instead hurts him.
