The First Map or Practice Map[1] is the tutorial board of Mario Party. It is accessed by choosing the Warp Pipe in Mushroom Village and picking "Hear Game Rules". It takes place on a picture of Toad's head surrounded by coins and ! Blocks. As such, the spaces form an outline of the head. When this board is chosen, the game automatically chooses Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach as the players. The Dice Block rolls are predetermined so Toad can explain different aspects of the game, including how the turn order is decided, the functions of the various spaces, how a minigame is decided, the function of the characters on the board, and Bonus Stars.
