World C-1 is the first level of World C in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and the thirteenth secret level overall in said game. In the original game, the level has a standard grassland palette, but has a snow palette in Super Mario All-Stars.
Layout[edit]
The player starts in front of two Koopa Paratroopas coming towards them before coming to a collection of blocks and pipes with Piranha Plants; in the second from the left ? Block is a Poison Mushroom and in a Hidden Block to the left of the pipe on top of the ? Blocks is a 1-Up Mushroom. After another group of Koopa Paratroopas is a row of Brick Blocks and ? Blocks, in the fourth Brick Block from the hanging pipe is a Poison Mushroom and in the fifth ? Block from the hanging pipe is a power-up. The next grounded pipe is a Warp Pipe to an underground area with Coins that will exit out at the end of the group of pipes above ground, or the player can find a Super Star in the first Brick Block hanging above. After the pipes is a large pit the player has to jump across by bouncing off of a Koopa Paratroopa, which is followed by a Hammer Bro that charges at the player. Next is another large pit the player can cross by finding a Hidden Block to the right of the hanging pipe (above the Hidden Block is a Coin Block), jumping up to the Brick Blocks above, and bouncing off of a Koopa Paratroopa. In the fourth Brick Block after the pit, which the player can hit by finding a Hidden Block underneath it, is a Beanstalk that will take the player to Coin Heaven, though they will be brought back to the exit pipe from the earlier underground area. Next is a set of stairs with a Goomba walking down it followed by some pipes with Piranha Plants before the Goal Pole.
