The W Emblem is a badge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It can be bought from Charlieton for 360 coins in the original or 432 coins in the remake. If Mario equips the badge, it changes the color scheme of his clothes to resemble Wario's, turning his hat and shirt yellow, his emblem on his hat blue, his overalls purple, and his shoes green. This look somewhat mirrors Mario's yellow costume from the Super Smash Bros. series (excluding Super Smash Bros. Ultimate). If combined with the L Emblem, Mario's clothes resemble Waluigi's, with his hat and shirt turned purple, his emblem on his hat becoming yellow, his overalls becoming black, and his shoes becoming orange.

Trivia
- In the demo version of the game, it was shown that the W Emblem was going to be purple.
- This is the only reference to Wario in a Paper Mario game.
- The W Emblem's price in the remake appears to be goroawase (Japanese number wordplay); 432 can be read as yomiji, or 黄泉路, meaning "the road to the land of the dead". This refers to Yomi ("the Yellow Springs"), which is the land of the dead or "underworld" in Japanese mythology. The connections to yellow and the underworld can be seen as references to Wario's characteristics.
