Cruise Mileage Points function as a type of currency in Mario Party 7. The player may spend these points at the Duty-Free Shop to purchase minigames, figures, characters, and extra features for the game. Cruise Mileage Points can be earned in a variety of ways, such as playing minigames, completing King of the River in Minigame Cruise, or even having a regular party.
During a Party Cruise, one point is earned for every space the players move. During a Solo Cruise, one point is earned for every space the players move, in addition to 500 points if the players win against a computer player. During a Deluxe Cruise and Minigame Cruise, ten points are earned for every minigame played. As for King of the River, 50 points are earned for every minigame won, 50 for every minigame won during the longest streak, 50 for every remaining life, and 300 points per Bonus Medal.
