Star Marker
First appearance Super Mario 64 (1996)
Latest appearance Super Mario 3D All-Stars (2020)

Template:Quote2 Star Markers are shadowy star-shaped objects found in Super Mario 64 and its remake, Super Mario 64 DS. Each of them marks the spot where a Power Star appears once Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario collects all eight Red Coins in a level. The Power Star appears above the Star Marker once all eight Red Coins have been collected. In Jolly Roger Bay and in all Bowser levels, there is no Star Marker.
