Smashing-Stone Tower, or Rock-Candy Mines-Tower is the first Tower of Rock-Candy Mines in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked when Porcupuffer Cavern is completed, and its completion unlocks Spike's Seesaws and Light-Up-Lift Tower.

Layout

The level starts in a tower with Grrrols and platforms that must be climbed up to progress. Two Grrrol generators are found on either side of the area. Two more Grrrol generators are in the section following, and Hidden Blocks below them must be hit in order to cause the Grrrols to destroy Brick Blocks blocking the path. 1-Up Mushrooms can be found in some of the Hidden Blocks. A large section of Brick Blocks follow, and is cleared out by two Mega Grrrols. Pipe Cannons are found, and lead to the boss door where Boom Boom awaits. Magikoopa transforms Boom Boom's arms into wings prior to the battle. He must be hit three times in order to be defeated.

Secret Exit

The secret exit is found by entering a pipe near the end of the level. Once there, the player must perform a Ground Pound in the slanted area. The secret exit leads to Spine Coaster Stowaways.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Between two Grrrol dispensers.
  • Star Coin 2: In a secret area behind the Luigi face.
  • Star Coin 3: Just above the Pipe Cannon that launches the player to the secret exit, two Brick Blocks guard it.
