Description | |
"An otherworldly mask. Sadly, it won't allow you to roll into a ball." | |
First appearance | Paper Mario: The Origami King (2020) |
The Space Warrior Mask is a special item in Paper Mario: The Origami King. It is a paper-mache mask in the shape of Samus Aran's helmet, found in the staff room of Shogun Studios alongside the Jungle King Mask and Goomba Mask. When equipped, sound effects and music from the Metroid game play as Mario imitates Samus's Arm Cannon.
In order to sneak into Big Sho' Theater, Mario is prompted to use one of the masks and disguise as a Paper Macho Soldier. If the Space Warrior Mask is chosen, he is quickly chased out and Olivia and Bob-omb suggest he use a different item. When Olivia is sad over Bob-omb's death in Breezy Tunnel, Mario can use the Space Warrior Mask and imitate Samus's Arm Cannon again, although she remains silent. In both cases, the Goomba Mask must be used instead.
