The Postcard is an item in the PC and SNES releases of Mario's Time Machine. It is given to Mario by the owner of the hotel in Menlo Park after Mario offers to take one of the rooms. After the hotel owner says that Mario should not expect any pleasantries from him, he rudely hands the postcard to Mario. The postcard can then be brought to an employee at a nearby telegram building, who mentions that he is on his break and is interested in getting one more postcard to complete his postcard collection. Once the employee receives the postcard, he gratefully accepts it and continues to talk further about the local inventor, Thomas Edison, and he eventually gives Mario a Telegram to deliver to the local druggist.
