- This article is about the course in Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart DS. For the course in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart 8 known as Peach Circuit in the Japanese version, see Royal Raceway.
Template:Racecourse Peach Circuit is the first course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and reappears as a Retro Course in Mario Kart DS. Princess Peach's Castle prominently appears in the background of this course.
Course layout
Originally Princess Peach's personal track, it is consist being relatively short with very few obstacles. However, it contains a plenty of curves suited to use drifting. The course has two sets of Item Boxes and a lot of coins scattered on the road. Following the coins pattern found in the curves, the user can employ drifting to run over them and take them all in a row.
Mario Kart DS
In Mario Kart DS, Peach Circuit is the third race in the Shell Cup. The course has not changed a lot from Mario Kart Super Circuit. However, like other courses seen in Super Circuit to Mario Kart DS, it shows an enhanced graphical look. Mission 1-2 is carried out on this circuit. Peach must collect 15 coins in a section of the track in 30 seconds. It used to be available on Wi-Fi in VS mode. Also, Peach's Castle in the background is mirrored in the 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc engine classes; but faces in the same way like in the Game Boy Advance version in the 150cc Mirror engine class.
Official descriptions
- Mario Kart DS European website: “A sweet little track from the Mario Kart: Super Circuit era, Peach Circuit’s gentle curves make for an easy introduction to classic course racing. There are no obstacles to spoil the view, so there’s plenty of space to practice those power-slides…”
