Rainbow Ride Star 1
The Rainbow Cruiser in Super Mario 64

The Rainbow Cruiser[1] is an airship that appears in Rainbow Ride in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The player can reach it by riding the magic carpet to the right of their starting position and then riding the carpet to the right at the end of the first carpet's path. Once at the Rainbow Cruiser, the player must jump over platforms and Donut Blocks to climb onto it. A heavy wind blows through the ship, pushing the player to its stern. Two Bob-ombs and a Lakitu are on the deck, and a cannon is on the stern. The player must talk to the Bob-omb Buddy at the top of the maze directly ahead of the course's start to be able to use the cannon. The Power Star for the first mission is on the ship's bow, but the Star is on the very end of the bowsprit in the DS version. The player can use the cannon to reach a platform with a Chuckya and the Power Star for the sixth mission.

The Rainbow Cruiser also appears in the stage Mushroom Kingdom: Rainbow Cruise, which is based on Rainbow Ride, in the Super Smash Bros. series.

The Rainbow Cruiser houses the board Luigi's Engine Room in Mario Party.
