Bear is a friendly NPC who appears in the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land III. He is the only Brothers Bear member not to have debuted in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, and the only one to appear in this game.
Bear owns and runs the Sheepy Shops, that can be found in all worlds of the game, including the Lost World. When Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong enter his store, Bear will offer them the chance to play a memory game, provided they have a certain number of Bonus Coins at that point in the game, the goal of which is to match 10 pairs of cards. However, the Kongs have a limited amount of time in which to match all the cards. Depending on how many and which cards they've uncovered, Bear will reward them various items such as Banana Bunches, Extra Life Balloons, DK Coins, Bear Coins, and Stop Watches. For two coins, Bear can also provide the Kongs with hints (like Cranky Kong), and for five coins, he can teleport them from one world to another (like Funky Kong).
"Bear" is identical in appearance to Bazaar. Both the Donkey Kong Land III's instruction manual and Nintendo Power articles about the game only refer to him as "the Brothers Bear", implying that Bear is not actually a separate character, but rather a generic stand-in for the Brothers Bear.
