Template:Species-infobox A Glire is one of three "gl" wheel-like creatures appearing as a member of the Subspace Army in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's The Subspace Emissary. They travel around the edges of platforms, and if the player approaches one, it opens up and sends out an aura of fire in all directions.
Glires return in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as one of the enemies in the Smash Run mode. They behave like they do in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. They are slower than Glunder and Glice, but have higher defense. They are weak to ice-based attacks, however.

Glire | This rotating enemy will follow the terrain. The red one is called Glire. Should a fighter come too close, a blast of fire will erupt from Glire, damaging nearby foes. Glire has high stamina compared to Glice and Glunder, but it's very slow. It's especially vulnerable to ice attacks. |
