Problem with this category[edit]
In response to this post:
The RPG Gamer, your definition of a mini-boss is highly arbitrary. Partners in Time and other M&L games do not distinguish between bosses and mini bosses. Didn't Baby Luigi already explain this to you? Furthermore, Commander Shroob does come at the end of an area, that area being Star Hill. Or are you just counting Star Hill and Star Shrine as one area? Why do YOU get to decide what is or isn't a mini boss? Because you created the category? You have GRODUS listed as a mini-boss. Why? Because he's not the last boss of the Palace of Shadow? He's a main villain and a major endgame boss. Why don't we just include Antasma in there while we're at it? I honestly question why we even need a mini boss category if this is how its going to be handled. 20:49, 16 November 2016 (EST)
- A mini boss category could work, if it was handled far more tactfully than RPG Gamer has done it. An example of it working is the Paper Mario series, where the mini boss are signified by the music used, which is an official indicator that it's a mini boss. However, the handling of it is extremely haphazardous and it should stop right now before we have to undo everything that RPG Gamer has done. Ray Trace(T|C) 21:23, 16 November 2016 (EST)
- What about main series Mini Bosses. (talk) (edits) 21:26, 16 November 2016 (EST)
Here's what needs to be ditched:
- Mario and Luigi bosses: Series does not distinguish mini bosses, as already stated.
- Paper Mario series bosses that do not have generic mini boss music (ESPECIALLY Grodus. I cannot stress that one enough.)
- Glitz Pit fighters: The Armored Harriers are the only ones that count. Rawk Hawk is the champion and has a unique battle theme. The rest are neither bosses nor mini bosses; they're regular enemies.
