I think the quote should be removed, since it doesn't concern R.O.B.'s appearances in ''Super Mario'' media, and the citation itself in the article opening seems to be enough of a compromise. [[User:Super Mario RPG|Super Mario RPG]] ([[User talk:Super Mario RPG|talk]]) 00:14, May 24, 2024 (EDT)
:I think it's both a good quote, and it directly relates to how he helped the NES get a stake in what people assumed was a dead market - just in time to allow SMB to become as massively popular as it did. I demand a move[edit]

If FLUDD is listed as FLUDD and not whatever FLUDD stands for, R.O.B. should be listed as R.O.B. Klaus Kratchet

I kinda agree. The name would be long but that's no reason not to move it. Oh, and it stands for Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device.
I am Confused 18:52, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

So... shouldn't this be... ya know... moved. HyperToad

There has been no opposition for ten months, you can move it. Stumpers! 17:11, 11 March 2008 (EDT)
Well, we need to delete the Redirect page first to move it, can someone delete that first? Marcelagus (TCE)

in brawl[edit]

yup he is in brawl McWolf

But not playable... Paper Jorge ( Talk·Contributions)·

yes he is playable McWolf

A screenshot showing its face and its name written below is not a valid confirmation. It doesn't say more than that it is a character appearing in the Subspace Emissary. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:26, 29 January 2008 (EST)

so see that uporg1224457.jpg McWolf

That's still only playable in the Subspace Emissary. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 14:03, 29 January 2008 (EST)

lol?...McWolf

Didn't sakurai say you unlock charecyers through the subspace emissary? Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14

ROB has his own icon. Not the smash, his little gyromite thing, but I can't find any pictures. He's his own franchise. --Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

IMPOSSIBLE. R.O.B. CANNOT BE BOTH A NON-BOSS ENEMY AND PLAYABLE AT THE SAME TIME. MarioGalaxy2433g5 23:03, 8 February 2008 (EST) P.S. I LIKE CAPS.

Uh maybe theres a a R.O.B challenge were you have to defeat like one hundred R.O.B's and then you fight one more and you unlock them. And another thing alot of stuff in the SSB series may seem impossible like multiple characters of the same guy but different colors...who cares! Thats what games are made like! Impossible to the real world possible for the Video game world. I think he's playable BTWStorm Yoshi sig.pngStorm YoshiStorm Yoshi sig.png

Main Image[edit]

Is it really ok to use a non-Mario related image as the main image? Stumpers! 20:54, 16 March 2008 (EDT)

Hmm, you do have a point, but as we do want seperate pics for each series, and since this is Nintendo Merchandise, meaning a product made by nintendo, this image is proper. Comparison: Wii Remote, Rumble Pak, etc. Marcelagus (TCE)
The use of Nintendo merchandise has only been previously used when a Mario game has used the accessory. No Mario game has ever used a R.O.B., but they have used the Wii Remote and the Rumble Pak. Stumpers! 21:50, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Remove quote[edit]

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

I think the quote should be removed, since it doesn't concern R.O.B.'s appearances in Super Mario media, and the citation itself in the article opening seems to be enough of a compromise. Super Mario RPG (talk) 00:14, May 24, 2024 (EDT)

I think it's both a good quote, and it directly relates to how he helped the NES get a stake in what people assumed was a dead market - just in time to allow SMB to become as massively popular as it did. If it weren't for ROB acting as a trojan horse to get the NES into people's homes, this franchise probably would not exist in the state it does now. The quote serves to acknowledge that.
