Jungle Jaunt[1] is the first level of Donkey Kong Land, as well as in Gangplank Galleon Ahoy! Similarly to Jungle Hijinxs of Donkey Kong Country, Jungle Jaunt is both the first level and jungle-themed level of the game. Its main obstacles are small abysses and some basic enemies such as Kritters and Slippas. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong can optionally receive support from Rambi by freeing him from his animal crate.

At the start of the level, the Kongs need to walk along east through the jungle. There are some enemies as they go, and the first Kong Token in the whole game is also found right on the path. Soon, they need to jump up on a ledge, where there is the letter K. After that, the Kongs must jump down and continue up a few more ledges with Slippas on them.
