Make Eggs, Throw Eggs is the first level of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It serves as the main tutorial of the game, featuring multiple Message Blocks detailing many of Yoshi's abilities and other game mechanics. Ba-dum BUM!, the first level in Yoshi's Island DS, and Little Eggs, Big Eggs, the first level of Yoshi's New Island, bear a strong resemblance to this level. This level's playable Yoshi is the green Yoshi. Aside from the Extra levels (as well as the Secret levels in the remake), this is the only level in the game to lack a Middle Ring.

Make Eggs, Throw Eggs is the first stage Yoshi must pass in the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. Since it was the first level of the game, it served pretty much as a tutorial of Yoshi's abilities and gameplay in general, in which the player learns how to play the game. For this reason, the level was considerably easy and short, even for the average gamer. Before this stage, there was a very short level in which the game teaches the player the basics about Baby Mario: To always keep him on Yoshi's back, and to grab him by touching him if anything happened, like touching an enemy. Ba-dum BUM!, the first level in Yoshi's Island DS resembles this level.
Overview
The level starts in a flat, flowery field with a nearby Message Block, telling the player how to make eggs. Slightly further along, there are a few Shy-Guys, one on a suspended platform, and a Crazee Dayzee walking around. It is followed by a small rock with the first Special Flower above it and a Wild Piranha in a small ditch next to it. After the rock, there is a Message Block explaining how to throw eggs, as well as a Winged Cloud in the air. Hitting the cloud with an egg will create a staircase leading to some coins, the first Red Coins, a Winged Cloud carried by a Fly Guy containing Stars, and a Special Flower.

As the level starts, Yoshi will find himself in a field. There will then be an Hint Block, telling players how to make eggs (lick it up and then press down.). Two Shy Guys and a Crazee Dayzee will be walking a few steps forward, along with a platform with another one. Upon advancing a bit more, the player will encounter their first Special Flower. Just next to it will be a Piranha Plant, which Yoshi must jump and dodge. There will be a Winged Cloud not far away from it. The player must hit it with an egg, making some small platforms appear. After the player climbs up, he or she can collect several coins, as well as another Special Flower and some stars. Once the player is back down, he or she will find two Piranha Plants blocking a pipe. The player must hit them both or just one of them (preferably the lower one) and enter the pipe.  Yoshi will sink down into a cave. In this underground area, Yoshi will have to use a Chomp Rock and collect the coins all over the place. After going forward for a while (and collecting another Special Flower), Yoshi will stumble upon a Winged Cloud. He must hit it for a beanstalk to appear. The player will now use it to climb and continue. After climbing it, the player may go left to encounter a Special Flower. After that, the player may jump down and fall on the ledge of the platform below for a new, hidden Winged Cloud to appear, which will uncover the last stars needed for the level.  After that, the player should climb the beanstalk again and continue right (collecting the last red coins) and to the finish.
Back on the ground, two Wild Piranhas block access to a Warp Pipe, leading to an underground section. Within it is a Chomp Rock used to roll over a few Shy-Guys and access a high ledge with the exit pipe, a few Fly Guys carrying Red Coins, and a tulip.

In-Game Help Instructions (Remake)
The exit to the underground section is not far from its entrance, under two rocks, with the third Special Flower being to the immediate left of it. The area to the right of it contains the fourth Special Flower underneath a Wild Piranha, as well as a rotating platform. Moving forward, there is a pipe which spawns an infinite number of Shy-Guys, with a Winged Cloud containing Stars above it. After going through a short tunnel, there is a Winged Cloud that must be hit, sprouting a beanstalk which allows access to the platforms above. Back to the left, past the edge of the upper platform, there is another Winged Cloud containing the final Special Flower for the level. Over to the right, there is another spinning platform that allows access to an even higher ledge. Upon it is a Message Block explaining the purpose of Red Coins, as well as another Chomp Rock. The rock can be rolled down the hill past more Shy-Guys and Wild Piranhas, leading to the Goal Ring.

Overview[edit]
