KO Arena Petal Meddle is a KO Arena level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is found in Petal Isles's last island, which is unlocked by completing Muncher Fields. This level has the player fighting off against several Cheep Cheeps, Nipper Plants, and Maw-Maws. throughout the level. This level has one Wonder Seed, and depending on how quickly the player clears the level, they can be rewarded with 10-flower coins.
Layout[edit]
The player starts in an area where they can choose power-ups, either a Fire Flower, Elephant Fruit, Bubble Flower or Drill Mushroom. The items are endless, so the player can take as many as they need. A pipe above the center leads to the first battle area.
The first battle area has ten Cheep Cheeps in a flooded beach area. The water tide slowly lowers and rises over time, leaving the Cheep Cheeps beached. After all ten Cheep Cheeps are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the second battle area will unlock.
The second battle area has fifteen Nipper Plants roaming the floors, walls and ceilings of a small maze of Brick Blocks and Rotating Blocks located in a forested area. The enemies can be defeated by hitting the blocks, or by throwing the Red POW Blocks spawned by two blue pipes on the ceiling. Alter all fifteen Nipper Plants are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the third battle area will unlock.
The third battle area has eight Maw-Maws in a sweets-themed area, similar to their debut level. There are several grey blocks that can be bumped to defeat the Maw-Maws, as well as two Swirlypod shells that they will spit back and forth. It is possible for a Maw-Maw to take out another. After all eight Maw-Maws are defeated, the gate to the pipe leading to the goal will open.
The goal has five Talking Flowers that congratulate the player for clearing the challenge. If the player clears the battle quick enough, they can be rewarded with 10-flower coins from the above pipes. There is a treasure chest on the right of the room, which when opened spawns the Wonder Seed and the stage is cleared.
