When using this collectible, the player may speak into an [[Orbulon]]-resembling voice transmitter invented by [[Dr. Crygor]] with input to the mic. The game plays back warbly sound effects. The effects overlap with the player's voice, which makes the player's voice sound more like Orbulon's. As the game only cares about mic input, it technically responds to any sound rather than exclusively voices. The volume of the sound effects is proportional to the volume of the input.

In-game description, WarioWare Gold

The Orbulon Voice Changer is a Miscellaneous souvenir in WarioWare Gold. This collectible allows the player to speak into an Orbulon-resembling voice transmitter invented by Dr. Crygor. The transmitter responds to any input caught by the Nintendo 3DS microphone, making the player's voice sound distorted, similar to Orblunon's.

The Orbulon Voice Changer is displayed on the Touch Screen. Each time the Orbulon Voice Changer picks up a sound, the antenna on top of it quickly extends upward, then retracts; the louder the noise, the farther the antenna extends. Balloons and stars scroll from right to left on the Top Screen at varying heights. If the antenna hits a balloon, it pops, while if a star is it, it bounces away. In either case, the glasses of the Orbulon Voice Changer bounce slightly when the object is hit.
