First appearance Donkey Kong 64 (1999)

DK Stars[1] are objects in Donkey Kong 64. They are six-pointed yellow-and-red striped stars with the DK initials inside them. A few appear throughout the worlds, typically higher in the air not reachable by regular jumps. DK Stars can be activated by passing through them. Usually, they open a passage or serve as a goal to pass through multiple ones in a row. More notably, they serve as the only way to defeat Puftoss and act as the primary goal of the minigame Enguarde Arena, where each DK Star gives the player points.
