Merge with Kong?

Why is this article split from the regular Kong article? We don't have the Kong Family split, so neither should this be. And majority of the Kongs here are just background characters. Kaptain Skurvy 14:30, December 20, 2024 (EDT)

The Kong article currently has a {{rewrite-expand}} notice due to the article's lack of information on The Super Mario Bros. Movie. I think merging all this information there (and possibly more) should be able to resolve that issue. Also @Camwoodstock, don't you mean the Kong Klan in that first part of your comment? Merge to Kong

Merge 9-0

Seeing that we've now merged Kong Klan to Kong, it's about time for this to be merged to.

Now, the Kong army seems to be just a bunch of Kongs in a group, akin to the Kong Family, however, what separates the two is that the Kong Family is merged, this isn't. Now, maybe if the Kong army featured non-Kong characters, it would feel more reasonable to keep it split (for example, the Kremling Krew). But...these are just Kongs. In an army. This could easily just have a section on the Kong article the way the Kong Family does. Unlike the Kong Klan, this would actually have a paragraph dedicated about this, and not just becoming a redirect. The Kong article currently has a {{rewrite-expand}} template due to its lack of information on The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and I think this article could be moved there to resolve that issue.

Comments army

Wasn't part of the case for Kong Klan being that Kong Klan is synonymous with Kong Family? Cranky Kong is established as a member of the Kong Family in the overall franchise, but he isn't part of the Kong army in the movie, right? (This is where I curse how I have the movie on Blu-ray not digital so I can't arbitrarily load it.) Salmancer (talk) 12:14, February 22, 2025 (EST)

I mean, Cranky is also DK's dad rather than grandfather in the movie, and is the monarch of a kingdom, and he doesn't even act all that cranky if memory serves. The movie takes liberties. Regardless, I don't think the argument here is actually that Kong army = Kong Family, but that it's a concept that can be merged to the Kong page for similar reasons to Kong Family being merged to that page as well.
