Welcome to Nintendo World! is a Microsoft Windows program created in Adobe Shockwave. It was included on a disc bundled with Nintendo's 1998 Company Report, allowing the user to view images and videos paired with short descriptions regarding both past and then-future Nintendo projects, including many games of the Super Mario franchise.
Details[edit]
Welcome to Nintendo World! features both a "Nintendo Museum" and a "Future" section, which is set to the Metal Cap theme from Super Mario 64. The former acts as a summary of most major Nintendo games, systems, and peripherals released in Japan, dating back to the release of the Family Computer in 1983 and ending with the release of Yoshi's Story in 1997. The latter acts as a showcase of then-upcoming Nintendo games and peripherals, beginning with 1998's Game Boy Camera and Game Boy Printer and ending with Donkey Kong Land III, which would be released in 2000. Videos of the games can also be viewed by installing QuickTime Player.
