Limbo Dance is a 1-Player minigame found in Mario Party.

Introduction[edit]

A Toad is shown playing a tribal drum set in a nighttime forest. The scene zooms out to reveal the player as the game begins.

Gameplay[edit]

The player has to limbo under all the Limbo Sticks (of varying heights, color-coded by difficulty) in 30 seconds. Blue sticks are the tallest and easiest, then yellow, and finally red, which can be very tricky. The player must press A Button to move the character forward and make them bend backwards a little. They can also stay in place to bring themselves up a bit if needed. Pressing the button too fast causes them to bend too far back and fall down, losing the game. Pressing the button too slowly also makes the player lose, because they stand all the way up and do not pass under the Limbo Stick. If the player does reach the end, they win ten Coins.

The minigame can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for 50 Coins.

Ending[edit]

If the player makes it across the finish line, they do a winning pose. If they lose, they fall on their back and shake their legs, trying to get up. Alternatively, if the player is standing up, they fall over. If time is up, they do a losing pose.

Controls[edit]

  • A Button – Lean back / Jump forward

In-game text[edit]

  • Game Rules"Do a Limbo Dance under all the Limbo Sticks. Lean back and jump forward by pressing A Button."
  • Game Rules (Mini-Game Island)"Limbo your way under the bars and down the path. When you reach the goal, you clear the game."
