List of implied characters

Dobson

Dobson is part of the main reason behind Kroop having incredibly huge eyebrows covering his eyes. He Is briefly mentioned in a bit of dialogue in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Meatball

Meatball is an implied in the Super Mario World cartoon episode Mama Luigi by Mario. When Yoshi eats Mario, he says, "Now I can see how Meatball feels." Yoshi replies, saying that he dosen't like meatballs, and he spits out Mario. Meatball's never mentioned after this.

If Mario knows how Meatball feels when he's eaten, Meatball would be eaten as well, and it's possible that Meatball lives in The Underwhere.

Old Man Skoo

It is also unknown what species Old Man Skoo was during his lifetime, although the instance of "koo" in his name may suggest that he was a Koopa.

Princess Peach's mother

Princess Peach's mother has yet to appear in person. She was referenced by Princess Peach in Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen. According to the princess, her mother had given her the Visionary Jewel from the Country of Treasure (possibly as a gift.) She also mentions that her mother had passed away prior to the events of the film. Her political position in Mushroom Kingdom government and her relationship with Peach's father, King Toadstool, are not explored. Princess Peach's mother is unknown but most likely alive.

Although Nitro Honey Syrup was never produced, recipes for it could apparently be found in the Ratooey Businessman's briefcase. Although it is, by normalcy, powerful enough to perform miraculous acts such as even raising the dead, Eat your heart out, Mrs. Butterworth.

The hospital is an organization that treats Glitz Pit fighters in Glitzville. Details are slim, but paramedics rush out to assist fighters who are seriously hurt in the ring. One of the Goomba Bros., mocking Mario, tells Grubba that he should call an ambulance for Mario before their fight even began.

University of Goom

Goombella's statements towards the beginning of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door imply that she had only recently arrived in Rogueport, seemingly confirming that U Goom is not located in the rogue-filled city. However, Goombella actually describes herself as "a student in Rogueport" on the official Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door website, suggesting that she had not yet graduated and that the University of Goom is located in Rogueport, or that U Goom has off-campus classes in Rogueport.

Toad Trapped in Rainbow Road

Giltch to do this, got to play less Toad and go to Rainbow Road. The player has to choose the item star on the very edge where the Toad is, if the player with the star item drops Toad out of Rainbow Road,Toad falls near the road crossing at the bottom. Toad lands on the previous road below intersecting the road l am on. Toad is also eight becuase that road is far away from this road. But,he twinks he is on the bottom row track intersecting, so he starts going sideways.Toad actually misses the bottom road and gets placed back on the track the player pushed him off. Toad is now on track,he slips on a banana and continues racing with a Star, but is stuck. How to get to the Toad or the shortcut going on right,Toad is stuck here,but he's not here. He is at the top of here. How is the Toad, it is still in trapped and very edge where the Toad fell on his player with item star. The giltch terminates when complete the Special Cup where he spent his giltch in Rainbow Road Toad

In its popularity, the Mario series has received attention from several smaller companies over the years, some of which have made knock-offs and bootlegs of the series. There were several of these games developed outside Nintendo.

Cartoon Network Racing

Cartoon Network Racing is a racing video game made by Cartoon Network Interactive, Eutechnyx, Firebrand Games (Nintendo DS version) and The Game Factory released on November 28, 2006.

The gameplay is similar to Nintendo's Mario Kart video game series. There are two characters the player must choose: a driver, who drives a custom kart, and a co-driver, who uses all weapons and has two "toon powers". There are tournaments which players must race a series of races and win with the most points. Battle modes in arenas let two teams battle in different modes, and Cartoon Eliminators are endurance races where last kart in each lap is eliminated. The karts have three stats: acceleration, speed, and handling (if chosen as driver). If co-driver, they have two toon powers that fall into four categories: Shield, Attack, Boost and Flight.

In the DS version, there are 20 characters, and each character gets their own kart (the Powerpuff Girls have separate karts, unlike the PS2 version). The characters each have one toon power that can be used when their toon power bar is filled up. There are 1-8 players available in this version. Unlike the PlayStation version, there are two mini-games and three cartoons.

Cartoon Network Speedway

Cartoon Network Speedway is a kart racing video game released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It is a motor racing game which plays very similarly to Mario Kart.

Disney Channel All Star Party

Disney Channel All Star Party is a party game based on the Disney Channel shows, exclusively for Wii. This game uses characters, games, and stages from six Disney Channel Original Series and one Disney Channel Original Movie: Phineas and Ferb, Jonas L.A., Sonny with a Chance, Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana Forever, The Suite Life on Deck, and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. It was released in North America on October 26, 2010, and in Europe On November 5, 2010. It was published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Page 44 Studios.

The gameplay is similar to Nintendo's Mario Party video game series. Up to four players (human or CPU-controlled) can experience places from Disney Channel shows in a board game style. Also, they can play up to 30 minigames based on the Disney Channel shows. They can also choose any of the Disney Channel character they like.

Many receptions except a few didn't rate that "You've got to fight! For your right! To paaaaaaaaaaarty!"

Play gay music in your sticker book

This glitch will make your sticker book play gay music. To pull of this glitch you must go to shy guy jungle (world 5-1) and kill the piriana plant under the block then take the block and let the Sticker inside the block fall on the Grass floor and punch the sticker with your hammer so you get it then you Wait in 100 seconds before you move again. (Note if you waint more ore less then a 100 seconds you have to restart the progress) Go upp the cliff and don't tuch the shy guy jump on the Ledge on the side of the shy guy and use your hammer to make the flovers to apere. You have to make all the flovers appear in 1 punch of the hammer ore the glitch wont work. Then complete the level with 1 fire flower in your sticker book. Then go to a batte that have at least have 2 enimies where you can get a perfect battle with the fire flower. If you did the steps corecly you will now hear gay music

Adventure Time

In the episode "King Worm", the way Finn and Jake jump resembles the animation from Super Mario Bros. 3.

In the episode "One Last Job", Jake goes through the corridor to save his daughter, Jake Jr. The way he goes through the corridor is a reference to the castle levels in the Super Mario series. Additionally, when Jake gets chased by the fireballs spat out by a monster, it is similar to how Bowser breathes fire as the player approaches him in Super Mario Bros.

In the episode "Lady Rainicorn of the Crystal Dimension", the motorbike that Lee rides has wheels that turn sideways whenever said bike floats, similarly to the vehicles in Mario Kart 8.

In the episode "Frost & Fire", Flame Princess grows into a giant and Ice King takes control of his mountain as they both battle each other. This bears a strong resemblance to the giant boss battles in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

In the episode "Beautopia", Susan's return to find Finn and Jake is a partial reference to Princess Daisy's return at the end of Super Mario Bros.

In "Jermaine", Jermaine uses a vacuum to suck up one of the demons, similar to Luigi's Mansion.

In the episode "Mystery of the Midenhall Manor", Jax sucks up a ghost using a vacuum cleaner in a manner reminiscent of the ghost-capturing mechanic from the Luigi's Mansion series.

American Dad!

Main character Francine bears quite a big resemblance to Peach.

Arthur

In a fantasy of the episode "D.W. Unties the Knot", D.W.'s friend James, has a dog named "Bowser".

Also, the episode "Meek for a Week" features a heart-shaped watch known as the "Princess Peach Watch". Despite its name, though, it has nothing to do with Princess Peach; the names of the watch and princess may be coincidental.

Blaze and the Monster Machines

In the episode "Robots to the Rescue" Pickle can be seen having a robot named Beeper who looks similar to a Yoshi Egg or a 1-Up Mushroom.

Brandy and Mr. Whiskers

In the episode, Lame Boy, Mr. Whiskers plays Monkey Maniacs 3, which is a parody of Donkey Kong on a Game Boy-like handheld and Brandy and Mr. Whiskers exploring the pyramid and escaping the Pyramid before it gets destroyed is similar to Wario exploring the Golden Pyramid and escaping the Golden Pyramid before it gets destroyed in Wario Land 4.

Brum

At the end of every episode of Brum, a lady with the mop appears as the same outfit as Mario.

Bubble Guppies

In the episode "The Sizzling Scampinis!", One of the Scampini Brothers is named Luigi, which could be a reference to one of Nintendo's Mario Bros., who shares the same name.

In the episode "The Puppy and the Ring", in the opening, the sky blue mountains with snow on top in the pop-up map looks identical to the mountains seen on the title screen of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Caillou

In "Big Brother Caillou" after when Caillou pinches Rosie, Caillou's dad makes a face resembling Shy Guy's mask.

CatDog

In "Let the Games Begin" when Mr. Sunshine looked straight into the camera, his face resembles Wario's face.

In "Rinky Dinks" when Eddie was surfing on a hockey puck, he parodied the moment when Mario surfed on a Koopa shell in Super Mario 64.

In "Back To School" when we get a gross-out close up of Mr. Sunshine saying "Bon Appetite" his face resembles Wario's face.

In The Dancing Digimon, the Bakemons strongly resemble Boos and Joe's personality to the Bakemons are very similar to Luigi's reactions to the ghosts from Luigi's Mansion and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

The name of the dog catching company in the series is called Bowser Busters. Interesting enough, the show debuted a year after Bowser's video game debut.

"Bloooo" (originally aired October 22, 2004)

Bloo becomes sick and his friends believe he is a ghost they saw in a horror movie. One of the methods of catching Bloo (whom they believe is the ghost) is by sucking him up in a vacuum. This is a reference to Luigi's Mansion.

Futurama

Futurama: Bender's Game (released November 4, 2008)
During the opening sequence, a pixelated Bender can be seen beating his chest in the same manner as the original Donkey Kong.

Garfield and Friends

In the episode "My Fair Feline", Garfield orders lasagna from a restaurant called Luigi's Lasagna. The chef who receives Garfield's order relays it to another chef whom he addresses as Mario.

Goof Troop

In one episode, Goofy wore a red shirt and overalls, very similar to Mario, but this may be a coincidence, as Goofy wears overalls for most of the episodes.

Gravity Falls

In "The Love God", a band known as "The Handlebar Bros." appear. The name of the band is a reference to the Hammer Bros.

In the episode "A Princess in Dis-Dress", Escargoon says the princess who is visiting is a peach. Also, things resembling Party Balls appear in a few episodes.

This man uses a red and blue cap, red overalls and blue shirt. This man also had a mustache. This remembers the old Mario's color palette, besides his Portuguese voice is similar to Mario's.

My Gym Partner's a Monkey

In "Me Adam, You Jake", the recurring antagonist (Nerdy Crocodile) is a parody to Yoshi.

In "Carney Crazy", the bug-bombs are a parody to the X-Nauts.

In "The Spiffpranos", the bear in a red shirt makes a physic similar to Burt.

Luigi's Hanging Shadow: Luigi's Mansion

During the blackout that happens after the Boss battle of Area 3 on the Balcony in Luigi's Mansion, Luigi journeys to the Telephone room.

When the player makes Luigi pick up one of the phones in the room, and waits there until there is a lightning flash, they would find that Luigi's Shadow has been distorted in such a way that it looks like he has been hanged. Many people thought it was proof that Luigi's Mansion was originally a much more violent game in early production. However, the "Hanging Luigi" is most likely a lighting glitch. Because of the dynamic shadows used in the game, the shadow appears this way because of the camera angle. When Luigi answers the phone, the camera is angled up slightly and zoomed in. The lightning strikes ingame are originated from the camera position, so Luigi's shadow is lifted off of the ground, and angled to seem as though he was hanged.

Luigi's Mansion: Is Bowser dead?

In Luigi's Mansion, After Luigi brings Madame Clairvoya enough of Mario's items, she tells him that she sees Bowser in a vision. She is surprised by this, as Bowser had supposedly been killed by Mario. Later, King Boo mentioned that Mario had caused him trouble in the past. This led to a theory that King Boo was the deceased Bowser, who had supposedly been killed in the Mario game to come outbefore Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario. His death, and connection to King Boo, was suggested by two things.

1. In Super Mario 64, Bowser's laugh was King Boo's slowed down.

2. At the end of Paper Mario, there is a sign the player can read defeating Bowser, saying that Bowser couldn't come back.

The theory "explained" why King boo had a Bowser Suit, and how he'd met Mario before. Every time Bowser next appeared in a Mario game, people who believed the theory assumed that King Boo was still using his Bowser Suit throughout all appearances. The theory was disproved by King Boo's appearence in Super Mario 64 DS, which also explained Mario and King Boo's background, and why he trapped Mario in a painting.

Exploding Fruit

Any time in Delfino Plaza (excluding the flood), if Mario sprays the pineapples in the small fountain behind the Grand Pianta Statue or the papayas in the other fountain next to the entrance to Noki Bay, the fruits explode in the water as Mario had thrown them into the ocean. (This isn't really a glitch, because once the fruits are out of their original place, if they touch water they disappear, or explode.)

Explosion!

I'm not sure what caused it, but I was walking along the beach in Delfino Plaza towards the entrance to Gelato Beach, and when I was in front of the hdden manhole there was an explosion in front of Mario and Mario died.

Fruit Shaking

If Mario grabs a fruit in Pinna Park and gets shocked by an Electro-Koopa, Mario shakes as if he is being shocked.

Shine Gate in the water

It is unknown what triggers this glitch. Possibly a model loading error of some sort. It's a glitch that rarely happens, the collision is still with the Shine Gate. If you go up to the area where it should be usually, a black cylinder(?) that holds the gate will still be there. So far there's been no documentation on this glitch.

According to Masahiro Sakurai on Famitsu, he was planning on adding the Ice Climbers for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, but despite the characters running without problems on the Wii U version, the team had trouble getting the Ice Climbers working in the Nintendo 3DS version due to issues on the hardware power that Sakurai mentions in the Super Smash Bros. Direct video that all fighters will get 60 FPS in the Nintendo 3DS version during in the development that caused the problem during in the debug testing.
