The Swap Card is one of the items used in Mario Party 4 and Mario Party: The Top 100. It allows the user to swap items with an opponent randomly chosen. This is the replacement for the Barter Box, although the latter lets players choose who they would exchange items with and is much rarer than the Swap Card.

In Mario Party 4, when a player uses the swap card, a spinner on the screen appears with the three other opponents' faces. An arrow starts spinning, and when the player pressed A Button, it slows down and stops on the icon 225 degrees from when the input was registered.[1] The item will then swap spaces with the player chosen. If a player does not press A Button for a minute, the roulette will stop and always land on the opponent on the bottom side.

Official description from Mario Party: The Top 100[edit]
