Wings
Wings from Super Mario 64 DS
First appearance Super Mario 64 DS (2004)
Effect Turns Mario into Wing Mario

The Wings[1] are a white feather in Super Mario 64 DS. They replace the Wing Cap from Super Mario 64. Like its predecessor, the Wings transform Mario into Wing Mario and emerge from red ? Blocks. Wing Mario cannot slow down his descent as effectively in Super Mario 64 DS, as Mario can now take fall damage even when slowly descending. It is not possible for Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario to acquire the Wings in the single-player mode of the game; if any of them hit a block that would normally contain the Wings, a Power Flower comes out instead. However, the feathers are located in VS Item Blocks in two of the VS mode courses: Sunshine Isles and Battle Fort. The feathers add wings to the character's cap regardless of who picks them up. In the case of Yoshi, he grows wings on his back. The Wings appear in the same location as the Wing Cap in Super Mario 64 but with the addition of Snowman's Land and Tall, Tall Mountain.
