Mecha Kuribō is a species of robot Goombas that appeared once in chapter 4 of Super Mario-kun Volume 13. Despite the name, they look like robotic versions of a Paragaloomba, with a round body and two plane wings that make them hover. They can shoot lasers from their mouths.
They are created by the Koopa Empire, in a future where Bowser took over the Mushroom Kingdom after the Mario Brothers' retirement. When the news that Mario came from the past spreads, the Empire sends a squadron of Mecha Kuribō to eliminate him and his friends.
