The Thousand-Year Door description Three gold bars.
Super Paper Mario description Three gold bars worth around 300 coins!

The Gold Bar x3 is an item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario consisting of three Gold Bars. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Gold Bars x3 are sold at Deepdown Depot, where they can be sold for 300 coins. While this is selling at a loss, it was included as a method to increase the amount of money the player can keep. By buying Gold Bars and then storing them at an item shop, the player can leave them there until they need more coins.

In the Nintendo Switch remake, they now cost 330 coins at Deepdown Depot and can be sold for 301 coins at Toad Bros. Bazaar, 305 coins at Westside Goods, also 305 coins at Niff T.'s shop, 330 coins at Northwinds Mart, 336 coins at Pungent's Great Tree Shop, or 350 coins at the Sales Stall.
